RCMP say three dead after they were called to fiery ATV crash in Saskatchewan

DILLON, Sask. – Three people in northern Saskatchewan are dead after RCMP say they responded to a report that a pair of ATVs collided on a highway.

Police say it happened late on Canada Day just outside of Dillon, on Highway 825.

They say both ATVs were on fire when they arrived, and nurses from the Buffalo River Dene Nation Health Centre were there providing first aid.

A 44-year-old woman and two men, aged 24 and 22, who were all from the Dillon RCMP detachment area were declared dead at the scene by local EMS.

A woman was transported to hospital in Ile-a-la-Crosse for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

Police say they are still investigating with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
