In June, the largest flooding disaster of this century hit Pakistan, flooding farmland and inducing a severe food crisis (1). Over 30 million people were affected, and more than 1000 people were killed (2). Developing countries such as Pakistan remain at high risk of disasters arising from climate change. To mitigate the damage, countries facing such threats should cooperate to improve disaster prediction capability and infrastructure.
